Calendar

The 2026 Colorado Virtual State Championship presented by the Colorado Bicycle Racing Association!

State Champions will determined by most overall points, as calculated by TrainingPeaks Virtual, and awarded the title by the Colorado Bicycle Racing Association shortly after the final stage. Reports of cheating or suspect performances will be reviewed following each event. All racers are required to use a smart trainer, power meter (within the smart trainer is fine!), cadence sensor (within the smart trainer is fine!), and heart rate monitor. Colorado Bicycle Racing Association reserves the right to remove racers from results on an as-needed basis (but we assume this will not the case!)

To get warmed up and familiar with these courses, we encourage you to join the following pre rides for each stage:

All these courses feature real Colorado races coming up in 2026 and from years past. Below are the course details for each:

  • Stage 1 - Pikes Peak APEX Gravel This 20 mile gravel course will feature some of the larger Pikes Peak APEX course. Covering over 2,800ft, this first stage of the Colorado Virtual State Championship will certainly be a way to get the competion going.

  • Stage 2 - Superior Morgul Road Race This Colorado classic will make a return for 2026 after a one year hiatus. This 13.2 mile course will cover over 1,100ft of climbing, which should feel like a cake walk following Stage 1.

  • Stage 3 - Thunderbird Road Race Featuring the 1986 World Championships road course, the final stage of the Colorado Virtual State Championships takes us down to Colorado Springs. Two laps of this famous road course will cover 17.7 miles and over 1,500ft.
